After not having a pick in round one, the Cleveland Browns get to business on night two with three picks in rounds two and three.

After not having a pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns will start their draft on night two as they have three picks in rounds two and three. Andrew Berry was willing to go all-in when he traded six picks for star quarterback Deshaun Watson, but he still has some holes he needs to fill.

Perhaps the two biggest question marks right now are wide receiver and defensive line. While there have been talks about filling holes in free agency at both positions, nothing seems imminent right now.

Many speculate that Jadeveon Clowney (defensive end) will return after a tremendous 2021 season, but I don’t think anyone knows what he is thinking. It doesn’t appear the market is too hot for his services, but I’m not sure Berry will be willing to overpay.

Will Fuller (wide receiver) is another popular name you hear. Although he has some serious question marks when it comes to injuries, he has a deep history with Watson and has proven to be an elite wide receiver when healthy.

With a big run on wide receivers in round one, Berry may feel pressure to try and move up to get his guy, or he could turn to free agency and not force anything. This draft is also deep at defensive end, so you may see Berry build more depth there in case he isn’t able to retain Clowney.

The good news for the Browns, is they’re in a decent position to take the best available player. There are a few positions like quarterback and running back that wouldn’t be in play, but I would argue they could use a starting-caliber guy at every other position on the team if someone slipped to them at No. 44.
