Martin Emerson ended up being the Cleveland Browns first selection in the 2022 NFL Draft as they added the former Mississippi State cornerback in the third after trading out of Round 2.

Since making the pick, there has been a lot of praise heaped on Cleveland for adding him and you can add a former coach of his to the mix.

Jim Moorhead, who now coaches at Akron, was the head coach for the Bulldogs when Emerson was a freshman and said the Browns are going to love this kid.

"“Oh, no!!!” he said.Then he explained.“I grew up a Steelers fan,” said Moorhead. “I love Martin. That kid is really good. He’s going to make it tough on Pittsburgh. I’m telling you, the Browns are going to love Martin.”"

Martin Emerson is getting a lot of praise and even though Joe Moorhead has terrible taste in NFL teams, it’s nice to hear that he thinks very highly of the young man who he recruited to Mississippi State.

Bedinger also mentions some of the usual suspects, such as the Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers but he believes the top spot is still Houston. It would make sense for both sides, unless the Texans are tanking with Davis Mills — and no one would really do that, would they?
