The Cleveland Browns added nine picks in the 2022 NFL Draft but still could find a spot on the 53-man roster for these three undrafted free agents

This offseason has been an interesting one for the Cleveland Browns as they added a lot of talent to their roster. The big names include quarterback Deshaun Watson and wide receiver Amari Cooper.

Their arrival should open things up on the offensive side of the ball. Then on defense, they went out and added a lot of youth in the draft — including cornerback Martin Emerson and defensive end Alex Wright.

Even after adding them, and seven other draft picks, the Browns could find some room on their roster for some of their undrafted free agents. Here, we look at three names that could find their way to the 53-man roster in Week 1.

Cleveland Browns UDFA No. 3: Ben Petrula, OL

One thing that can really help a reserve offensive lineman make a team is versatility. And Ben Petrula from Boston College has that.

He began his career as a center for the Eagles and then spent the past three seasons playing tackle. After going undrafted, he signed with the Browns and is projected to be a guard at the next level.

Having said that, Cleveland has had to move guards outside often with guys such as Blake Hance needing to fill in at tackle more than once. Petrula having the experience to play tackle could be huge, as would his experience as a center. That could end up being what helps him find a spot on the 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent.
