3 veteran free agents Cleveland Browns should add before 2022 camp

Cleveland Browns Veteran Free Agent Target No. 1 – Melvin Ingram, EDGE
Let me set the record straight, in the scenario I am about to discuss, I want the Cleveland Browns to still re-sign Jadeveon Clowney, and bring in Melvin Ingram to be the third edge rusher on the team. One thing is for sure, you can never have enough good defensive ends and if the Browns could land that core trio, they would be elite.
Don’t forget, Chase Winovich is still a capable player on this roster and would round out the depth chart as the fourth edge guy. At times last year, I got tired of watching Myles Garrett play every snap and be tired. I would rather keep everyone fresh and have a deep rotation with these guys to constantly cause pressure on the opposing quarterback.
With Ingram having back-to-back sub-par seasons with only two total sacks during that time, the Browns may very well get the 11-year pro at a steep discount. He could be motivated to be surrounded by a ton of talent as it will only help with his production.
I know it seems like a longshot for Berry to be able to get a deal like this done, but there are still a ton of veterans left on the board who need to find a home. The downside to a deal like this is a young player like Alex Wright or Isaiah Thomas may struggle to see the field as rookies.
