Cleveland Browns Rumored Free Agent No. 2 – Will Fuller, Wide Receiver

I know we have talked a lot about the Cleveland Browns adding Will Fuller, but I still see it happening before the start of the season. The only real question is what’s holding a deal up?

My guess is that Fuller wants more money than his injury history deserves.

The thought of bringing Jarvis Landry back never seemed like the right move to me. I know, that is a take that many disagree with, but $15 million for a guy who was starting to be injured constantly and had 570 receiving yards in 2021 didn’t add up to me.

Landry’s agents tried to make it feel like the Browns were interested, but I would have been more shocked at the Browns bringing back Landry than I was when I heard the trade for Watson was happening.

If Fuller can stay healthy for a season, he has proven that he can be an elite wide receiver. The good news, not only have we seen him be great, but we have also seen him do it with Watson as his quarterback.

The two have always had a strong relationship and I think that is what finally gets the deal done. (that and no one else wants him)

Remember, even when Fuller was at his best, he still hasn’t had a 1,000-yard receiving season in the NFL. His best year was in 2020 when he played in 11 games, had 879 yards receiving, and 8-touchdowns. A one-year deal for him to prove he can stay healthy is a win/win for both sides.
