The Cleveland Browns have built plenty of depth on their roster, which could lead to these three players being traded before the start of the 2022 season

This offseason, the Cleveland Browns have made some bold moves as they added quarterback Deshaun Watson and wide receiver Amari Cooper.

They were also able to retain Jadeveon Clowney and lock up players such as Denzel Ward, Joel Bitonio, and Wyatt Teller. Add it all up and they suddenly have an incredibly deep roster.

While that’s what every team wants, Cleveland could end up needing to move on from some players who they were once really high on. Of course, they would always rather get something in return for their players, which leads us to these three players who could be traded before the Browns start the 2022 season.

Cleveland Browns trade piece No. 3: Jordan Elliott, DT

When Andrew Berry first took over in 2020, he made some great picks including Jedrick Wills in Round 1 and Grant Delpit in Round 2. In the third round, he ended up with two players as he added Jordan Elliott and Jacob Phillips to the Browns roster.

Neither of them has lived up to the hype, but for different reasons. Phillips has flashed potential but can’t seem to stay healthy. As for Elliott, he’s been healthy and has played in 32 games in two seasons — but hasn’t made much of an impact.

Heading into 2022, he now has competition in Tommy Togiai, Taven Bryan, Perrion Winfrey, and Sheldon Day. There are also rumors Ndamukong Suh is on the team’s radar, which would almost certainly seal his fate.

Even without Suh, Elliott looks like a player on the bubble and if someone makes an offer, Berry could very well pull the trigger.
