Cleveland Browns trade piece No. 2: Anthony Schwartz, WR

Yes, Anthony Schwartz is only in his second season, but there’s an outside chance this young man could be battling for a roster spot in 2022. Cleveland has shown they aren’t depending on any wideout from their previous seasons as they released Jarvis Landry and didn’t even try to retain Rashard Higgins.

They did, of course, add Amari Cooper via trade and drafted David Bell out of Purdue in the third round. With Donovan Peoples-Jones in the mix, the top three spots are set which means Schwartz is battling for No. 4 on the depth chart — but he won’t win that easily.

Cleveland signed Jakeem Grant who was an underrated addition. He will be the primary return man but can also make plays on offense — he had 373 yards receiving for Miami back in 2020.

Behind him are rookies Michael Woods and Isaiah Weston — and Weston could end up making the roster this season due to his insane athleticism.

Should any of those options push Schwartz farther down the depth chart, he could end up being a player on the trading block. He wouldn’t net a day one or two pick, but there could be a team in need of speed on offense that could give up a fourth-or-fifth — which is a decent return should the player already be on the way out.
