Cleveland Browns: 5 biggest areas of strength going into 2022 season

Cleveland Browns biggest strength No. 2: Quarterback
With Baker Mayfield leaving the Browns and Deshaun Watson coming in, the offense got a big boost in this most important part of the team. Watson’s ability to create offense and trouble for any defense is truly frightening in a good way.
Watson is coming into an offense that was already pretty good. They also added a great veteran wide receiver in Amari Cooper as well. With the best running back room in the NFL, Watson’s abilities will only be accelerated because of all the talent surrounding him.
One of the bigger statistical differences between Watson and Mayfield is in pass completion rate. While Mayfield has hovered around 62 percent, Watson has been around 68 percent in his career.
That will matter as the season unfolds for Watson and the Browns. The inconsistency in Mayfield’s game likely cost him his job in Cleveland. Watson on the other hand, even going back to his days at Clemson show a quarterback that has been far more consistent.
The added bonus with Watson running the offense too is his ability to mix things up and create offense on the fly. While Mayfield tried his best and showed great efforts, Watson just has that “it” factor that puts him in the superior category.
