The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Will Fuller no longer being on their radar

OTAs will be starting up again shortly for the Cleveland Browns as they continue to prepare for the 2022 season.

And unless there’s an injury, it seems they’re pretty much set with the players they have — at least on offense anyway.

Reports have come out that the Browns aren’t looking to add another wideout behind Amari Cooper and that includes former Houston Texans wideout Will Fuller who is reportedly no longer on the radar.

That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Browns Rumors: T.Y. Hilton Not in Talks with CLE; Will Fuller Isn’t ‘On the Radar — Timothy Rapp, Bleacher Report

"“Additionally, free agent Will Fuller is ‘not currently on the radar’.Behind Cooper, the Browns most notably have Donovan Peoples-Jones and Anthony Schwartz at wideout, a pair that combined to catch 44 passes for 732 yards and four touchdowns last season.”"

Will Fuller made a lot of sense for the Browns due to his relationship with Deshaun Watson but there are now reports that Cleveland is content with the players they have. Donovan Peoples-Jones did have a solid campaign in 2021 and could prove to be a solid No. 2 across from Amari Cooper, and that’s what the team is banking on.

If needed, Brissett needs to be at least as good as 2021 Mayfield — Jared Mueller, Browns Wire

"“Last year, with the Miami Dolphins, Brissett started five games. The Dolphins were 2-3 during those games as he completed 63% of his passes for 1283 yards. Like Mayfield, Brissett’s TD to INT ratio was underwhelming, 5:4.”"

Brissett has a lot of experience as a starter with the Indianapolis Colts in addition to his five starts in 2021 with Miami. His numbers aren’t exactly elite and the Colts weren’t a winning team with him but he still showed a lot of heart and leadership. He’s more than capable of being a ‘game manager’ which is what Cleveland will need.
