Browns OTAs: 3 most interesting players through first two weeks — Dan Labbe, Cleveland.com

"“Phillips has been playing MIKE linebacker with the first team, probably the most significant development so far in the spring. Anthony Walker Jr. isn’t going anywhere roster-wise, but it appears Phillips has a chance to beat him out for the starting job in the middle of the defense.”"

Jacob Phillips has all the talent in the world but the issue has been his health. Through his first two seasons in the NFL, he’s struggled to stay on the field. If he’s able to finally play an entire campaign, he could end up being a star on this defense.

In addition to Phillips, Labbe looks at how Greg Newsome has grown since his rookie season as well as how David Bell has looked in his first OTAs.

"“Thomas (6’-5”, 266 pounds) grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he began playing football in the fourth grade. He was always the bigger kid and opposing Pop Warner coaches would constantly question his age because of his imposing size.”"

Thomas looks the part and had his share of success at Oklahoma. However, he seems to be overlooked thanks in large part to the selection of Alex Wright earlier in the same draft. Still, Thomas is a player to watch as a potential contributor.
