Cleveland Browns surprise impact player No. 1- Harrison Bryant, tight end

Harrison Bryant has started his career with the Cleveland Browns as tight end three on the depth chart in both seasons. With Austin Hooper no longer with the team, he is expected to see a major increase in both snaps and targets.

Last season was tough for the Browns’ passing attack but before a high ankle sprain, Baker Mayfield and Bryant had started to create a good connection. You noticed the difference in the passing game when he left the field last season, he knows how to find the soft spot in the zone and get open.

Like Njoku as a rookie, he wasn’t the greatest blocker but he has always been willing and has worked hard to improve in that area. Last season he caught 75% of the targets that came his way and only dropped one pass from 28 targets.

Bryant likely isn’t heading for a pro bowl season but in an offense that likes to feature tight ends and cause mismatch problems, he will have a prominent role. He is a nice red-zone target with his ability to make contested catches and elevate to get the jump ball opportunities.
