The Cleveland Browns will travel to Western New York to play the Buffalo Bills in Week 11 of the 2022 season. Here’s a look at the opponent for that week.

The Cleveland Browns play the AFC East this season and the final team from that division on the slate for them is the Buffalo Bills in Week 11.

Buffalo has become a favorite in that division, winning the East the past two seasons. Cleveland has a tough stretch here as they play Miami in Week 10, the Bills in Week 11 and Tampa Bay in Week 12.

Here, we look at the Bills and break down who Cleveland will be playing.

Bills 2021 season

The New England Patriots have dominated the AFC East for decades but the Bills are in charge now. Even with New England rebounding in 2021, Buffalo held them off and went 11-6. They won their first playoff game, which was against the Patriots but then lost a heartbreaker the following week.

On the road against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Bills took a late lead thanks to some heroics from Josh Allen. However, the 13 seconds left on the clock somehow became too much and the Chiefs forced overtime — where they were able to secure the win.

Buffalo will surely be focused on getting back to the postseason and finishing what they started.

Key offseason moves

The Bills moved on from Cole Beasley and didn’t bring back Emmanuel Sanders but they did sign Jamison Crowder and OJ Howard. However, the rise of Gabriel Davis in the postseason is what they’ll really be banking on when trying to improve the passing game.

None of those moves will have the impact that their defensive additions will, however, Kaiir Elam is a great fit at cornerback across from Tre’Davious White but the signing of Von Miller is what they hope will turn things around for them should they get back to the playoffs.

When do the teams meet?

The Browns and Bills are set to play on November 20, at 1:00 pm in Orchard Park, New York.

Last time the Cleveland Browns played Buffalo

The Browns and Bills last faced off in 2019 when Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen were both in their second seasons. Allen played well with 266 yards and ran two touchdowns but there was very little offense outside of that.

As for Cleveland, Mayfield threw for 238 yards with two touchdowns while Jarvis Landry had a great game with 97 yards and a score. It was enough for the Browns to win a close one, 19-16.

Player to watch

Since the last time these two met, Josh Allen has changed — a lot. He went from a talented young quarterback who needed to become more consistent to a legitimate NFL MVP contender. He also proved in their loss to the Chiefs last year that he can go toe-to-toe with anyone.

Next. 4 teams that would sign Baker Mayfield minutes after a release. dark

Cleveland will have to do all they can to keep him from taking the game over, because he can put up points in a hurry.
