The Cleveland Browns still have a ton of questions at quarterback, but they still should make these three free-agent acquisitions to better their roster.

The Cleveland Browns find themselves in one of the most curious situations for any NFL franchise currently. They have a team that could be a top-five favorite to win a Super Bowl, or they could easily be a 9-8 team who just misses out on the playoffs. I hate to say it, but they could also be a very disappointing 7-10 if things completely fall off the tracks.

So, what’s the big question? How long (if at all), will Deshaun Watson be suspended by the league during the 2022 season. Some believe there is no way he’ll be suspended before going to trial, and some believe that he could be suspended at a minimum of one full season. Unfortunately, I don’t think anyone knows what will happen.

One thing I do know, Kevin Stefanski must continue to trek forward. These remaining three free agents could really solidify this team even if Watson isn’t available.

Cleveland Browns Free Agent Singing No. 3 – Joe Haden

After being drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2010, could a reunion with Joe Haden be in the cards?

The Browns are long on defensive backs at the moment, but some believe that Martin Emerson’s length could make him a better safety at the NFL level. Also, you can never have enough good defensive backs.

Haden spend his first seven seasons with the Browns and signed a massive contract extension before the injuries started to pile up. A five-game season in 2015 and a 13-game season in 2016 where he was constantly fighting off injuries forced the Browns to move on.

Haden has never been the player he was in 2013 or 2014 since, but he redefined his career over the last five seasons in Pittsburgh. And while there are many teams likely interested, the fact that he remains on the market tells me his asking price is way too high.

Why not come back on a hometown discount with a real chance at winning. A one-year deal for Haden to prove himself to other teams makes a lot of sense.
