Browns Pairing No. 1: David Njoku and Harrison Bryant

Here’s a pair that will likely get a lot more talk about this next season. The Browns re-signed David Njoku recently after they released Austin Hooper. That release also opened the door for Harrison Bryant, who will be entering his third season with the team.

While Bryant hasn’t had a huge showing yet in his two previous seasons, he has been consistent. He caught 24 and 21 passes, and gone over 200 yards in receptions each season with three touchdowns as well.

Njoku is going into year six now with the team. While he hasn’t been as consistent as we would like to see, he was much better a year ago, going for 36 receptions for 475 yards and four touchdowns.

Now, these two will be a duo and won’t have to be in a crowded tight-end room. I see these two players really having the best seasons of their careers since they will get more time on the field. The Browns like to use their tight ends and they will play a big role in how the team performs overall.

There are other pairings to be looking at this season as well. Wide receivers Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones will be fun to watch and see how they work together in their first season together.

Linebackers Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and Jacob Phillips will be an interesting combo to watch as well. Phillips has yet to have a breakout season mostly due to injuries. But both have a knack for the ball and both are quick.

It’s a good sign when you see that these pairings are starting to take anchor. The Browns are building a winner.
