The NFL has scheduled a disciplinary hearing for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson for Tuesday, which means a decision could be coming soon

Cleveland Browns fans who are tired of waiting to know what will happen with Deshaun Watson might not have to wait much longer.

Watson joined the Browns with a dark cloud over his head after being accused of 22 counts of sexual misconduct. That number grew to 24 recently, but the quarterback was able to settle 20 of those.

With four civil cases still lingering, Watson is facing a potential unprecedented suspension and will now have a disciplinary meeting this coming Tuesday — per Adam Schefter.

There were recent reports that Watson and the league tried to settle on a discipline for the quarterback but those talks “fell apart” with neither side seeing eye to eye.

Chances are, the league is looking at a much higher suspension than what Watson’s representatives are expecting. Some have suggested that he could be facing a full-year ban, which is much longer than the 6-8 games that were being floated when he first arrived in Cleveland.

Of course, the NFL has often seemed to float suspension amounts to test the waters. Throwing out a number lets them see how the public will react and in an emotionally charged situation such as the one surrounding Watson, the outcry is usually loud — and understandable.

Should it be a full-year suspension, that would make it two years of not playing for Watson. He already sat out the entire 2021 campaign while with the Houston Texans.

His hope — and the Browns as well — was that he would be able to play this season, but that remains in doubt.
