Cleveland Browns role player who will make or break the season No. 1- Greedy Williams, cornerback

There’s no such thing as too many corners in the modern NFL with the evolution of the passing game and quarterback position. Especially in the AFC that is loaded with talent at the quarterback position and having a legitimate number three corner like Greedy Williams is a great position to be in.

After missing the entire 2020 season with a shoulder injury Williams was really impressive in 2021 when he was asked to play because of injury. He has great speed and length making him an ideal outside corner and is able to deal with bigger physical receivers.

During offseason programs, Williams has played as the outside corner in formations with three corners with Greg Newsome playing the slot. The slot corner position has grown in importance with the level of talent of receivers playing inside. Greedy had some big moments last season, Newsome and Ward both missed time last season and likely will again this year so he will be needed.
