Cleveland Browns Round 4 Pick: Kendrick Duncan, S, Louisville

The Browns have a couple of starting-caliber safeties in Grant Delpit and John Johnson III. They also have Ronnie Harrison, Jr. who has been a solid player for the majority of his time with the team. Defensive coordinator Joe Woods loves employing three safeties in his play-calling and while Harrison is a solid choice as the No. 3 guy, he’s also playing on just a one-year deal.

That’s why they could look to the middle rounds in 2023 to add some depth, which is what happens with the selection of Kendrick Duncan in Round 4. Duncan started his career at Georgia Southern before heading to Louisville, where he had 76 tackles and a pick last season.

Another solid campaign could be enough for him to hear his name called in 2023, and the Browns bring him in to compete for a spot in this mock.

Cleveland Browns Round 5 Pick: Jacoby Windmon, LB, UNLV

After recording just 50 tackles in his first two seasons, Jacoby Windmon racked up 119 tackles with 6.5 sacks last season for UNLV. Cleveland ends up bringing him in with their first of two picks in Round 5 this year, giving them someone to fill out the depth chart.

Windmon is slightly undersized at 6-foot-2 and 230-pounds, but the Browns have seen with their current corps of linebackers that this doesn’t mean the player cannot be effective.
