The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including a look at some possible trade candidates ahead of camp
With training camp set to start this month, there could still be some moves made by the Cleveland Browns. Of course, the biggest move would be trading Baker Mayfield, which many of us assumed would have happened by now.
However, a recent Bleacher Report article looks at a few other players the team could consider moving — while also touching on Mayfield as well.
That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

"“CB Greedy WilliamsA team with playoff aspirations can never have too many good cornerbacks. This is why the Browns should only consider moving Greedy Williams at a high price point—ideally a third- or fourth-round pick at a minimum.”"
Moving Greedy Williams isn’t an ideal move at all since the Browns have had so many issues with durability in the secondary. Also, it would be hard to argue a third-or-fourth round pick would be enough to weaken the position this season. Now if someone was trying to move a starting defensive tackle, then it might be worth listening.
"“Perhaps Andrew Berry’s worst decision so far, Hooper flopped as a top-level free agent addition and was released this offseason. His $3.75 million cap hit is the 15th highest on this year’s Browns roster."
His dead cap jumps to $7.5 million in 2023.”
What’s interesting about this list is that there are two players on the dead money list that were re-signed this offseason — Jadeveon Clowney and Anthony Walker. Clowney counts for his normal salary and is also second on the team in dead money at $3.6 million but still doesn’t top Austin Hooper. And Hooper counts for twice as much in 2023.
He might not ever be as good as Aaron Donald, but the Browns grab another undersized defensive tackle from Pitt in this 2023 mock draft.
Oftentimes, the term ‘Bottlegate’ is thrown around but some fans might not know exactly what went down that day. Here, Joel Cade explains it all.
