A lot of the dominos have started to fall for the Cleveland Browns, but these headlines will still be hot topics heading into training camp.

The Cleveland Browns are now under three weeks before the official start of training camp. Preseason games will begin in mid-August, and then the season ramps up in early September as we begin the trek of finding our way back to the playoffs.

This 2022 offseason has been far from easy for Andrew Berry (general manager) and Kevin Stefanski (head coach), but it does feel like the puzzle is starting to come together. Here are three major storylines to watch as we head into camp.

Cleveland Browns Storyline No. 3 – Are they done in free agency?

Berry continues to look like a mastermind no matter who you ask. I was disappointed they traded back so much in the 2022 draft, but he was just getting his assets back from the Deshaun Watson trade.

Other than that, he continues to hit on everything.

With more veteran free agents available at this time of year than usual, is Berry done? The Browns are at an interesting point in time where they must be careful to not get rid of too many young guys, but they also want to bring in some veterans to push them over the top.

I would argue this team is a veteran defensive tackle and wide receiver away from having as good a roster as anyone in the league (assuming no injuries). My guess is that Berry has his eyes on a few guys who won’t need the practice time like the young guys to be prepared.

He once again is playing chess and just waiting for the price to be where he wants it.
