Cincinnati Bengals most dangerous player No. 2- Trey Hendrickson, defensive end

During the 2021 offseason, the Bengals spent a ton of money improving their defense and the key to that improvement was defensive end, Trey Hendrickson.

Hendrickson was coming off a career year with the New Orleans Saints when he had 13.5 sacks. He followed it up with 14 sacks during his first year in Cincinnati and added to that with some great play in the playoffs.

Hendrickson finished last season with a total of 45 quarterback pressures and had a solid impact in the run game as well. He only missed three tackles for the Bengals last season while playing in a total of 717 defensive snaps. Hendrickson was relentless as a rusher and drew plenty of double teams that led to other teammates being able to get home for sacks with less attention.

If Hendrickson can continue the run he has had the last two seasons he will be a major problem and a reason the Bengals’ defense succeeds. The offense in Cincinnati gets most of the attention but the defensive unit last year played a major hand in the team making it to the Super Bowl.
