Cleveland Browns rookies report to training camp on Friday with the veterans reporting next week, let’s answer some mailbag questions to preview camp.

The 2022 Cleveland Browns season is almost upon us with the start of training camp next week and the preseason starting next month. The long wait to see your Brown and Orange back on a football field is almost over. Though the QB situation still needs some clarity the battles on the field are about to begin, let’s open the mailbag and answer some reader questions.

Who is going to be the toughest cuts this year? Felton? Stanton? And how many rookies from this year will be cut and whom? – @HowardS15110279

This is the year we will finally start seeing Andrew Berry cut guys that are “his guys”, he already moved on from one big mistake in tight end Austin Hooper. But if I had to guess the hardest it would probably be Demetric Felton because he has the talent just not sure where he fits. We saw flashes from Felton last year but the wide receiver room is pretty full and the running back room is even more full.

If I had to guess as to the rookies that might not make the roster this year it’s probably Mike Woods and Dawson Deaton that have the toughest road to the 53. Woods is not a flashy wide receiver that does anything great just a lot of things good.

The interior offensive line is loaded with talent and unless one is moved Deaton doesn’t have a home. I think the Browns will likely try to keep both on the practice squad but they could sneak onto the 53.
