Even though Andrew Berry and the Cleveland Browns have built a stout roster, these three positions still have some weaknesses.

The Cleveland Browns are set to start training camp next week, as they prepare for a redemption tour after a very disappointing 2021 season. Baker Mayfield is out, and Deshaun Watson is in, and the only real question is will Watson be available for any of the 2022 season.

Over the last five years, John Dorsey and Andrew Berry have crafted a fantastic roster. It all started with the hit of Myles Garrett with the first overall pick in 2017. Since then, the team has done better with free agents and has done a much better job drafting, specifically in later rounds.

Many would say this roster is now top-five in the league, the only question now is if they can perform. As good as this roster is, there are still a few holes. Here are the three weakest positions currently for the 2022 roster.

Cleveland Browns Weakest position No. 3 – Offensive Tackle

One of the biggest disappointments last year was the pass protection on the outside. Both Jedrick Wills and Jack Conklin fought through injuries, but Mayfield was under a ton of pressure which makes things extremely difficult.

With both having a clean bill of health (fingers crossed), the anticipation is Wills will take a huge leap in year three, and Conklin will fully recover from a serious knee injury. What does worry me, is the lack of depth behind those two starters.

Chris Hubbard has been fantastic when asked to step in, but he is a better option on the interior line as he has lost some of his speed to stay in front of the edge rushers. The organization is still high on James Hudson who was a rookie last year but looked last at times.

If Hubbard stays healthy and Hudson takes a big leap in year two, I think the offensive line will be just fine, but if they face injuries like last year it could be another tough season for the offense.
