The Cleveland Browns are entering training camp this week and they have an excellent roster of players. Let’s take a look at their Top 10

The Cleveland Browns have a very talented group of players getting ready to begin training camp. You realize that even more when you start trying to put together a Top 10 list of the best players on the team. While all NFL teams have excellent players, the group that the Browns have put together is one of the best across the league.

Routinely ranked in the Top 10 in various categories in the NFL, all these players ranked today are the best at what they do. There will certainly be a debate about players that didn’t make the final list and others in the rankings that could have been ranked higher or lower. Why was running back Nick Chubb ranked here while Amari Cooper was ranked there?

This Top 10 list is based on how these players stack up to the rest of the NFL. It’s not a ranking based on how this player necessarily impacts the team or if he’s the MVP.

With that let’s look at the 10 best players on the Cleveland Browns.

53. . . . Joel Bitonio. 10. player

No. 10 Joel Bitonio, LG

One move Cleveland got right was taking Joel Bitonio at No. 35 early in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. The team failed miserably in taking Justin Gilbert, a cornerback from Oklahoma State, and then taking the arrogant and overrated quarterback Johnny Manziel in the first round of that draft, but Bitonio makes up for some of that.

The fact is, Bitonio, who came from Nevada has had an excellent career protecting his quarterbacks and helping open holes for his running backs.

Bitonio has made it to the Pro Bowl four times. He’s been named First Team All-Pro just this past season. He’d made Second Team All-Pro the three previous seasons.

He’s started all 112 games he’s played in too. A nice and reliable player in the middle of that offensive line. He ranked No. 42 in only allowing two sacks this past season according to Pro Football Focus. They gave him an impressive 93.6 grade overall. Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports has Bitonio ranked as the fourth best interior lineman.
