3 undrafted rookies who could shine at Browns Training Camp

Undrafted rookie who may make the roster No. 1- Shaun Jolly, cornerback, Appalachian State
In today’s modern NFL with all of the talent at quarterback and wide receiver you can never have enough talented corners on your roster. The Browns traded away nickel corner Troy Hill during the draft and are looking for someone to play in the slot. Though Greg Newsome will likely get most of the starter reps Shaun Jolly is a name to watch for the position.
Jolly was one of the country’s best slot corners last year, though it was for a smaller school, and is a really interesting player. He is a smaller player at 5-foot-9, which has a lot to do with him playing in the slot but has great speed and athleticism to keep up with the quick wide receivers that typically line up in the slot.
Though Jolly isn’t likely to be a starter or play significant snaps for the team this year, they do need to have a backup plan if Newsome misses time. Denzel Ward, Greg Newsome, and Greedy Williams have all had a history of missing some time so having another guy like Jolly with plenty of starting experience in college would be a solid fallback plan for the Browns.
Time will tell if any of these players make the final roster for the Browns but they all have the skill set to have a shot come September.
