1. Jacoby Brissett, QB

Overall, Jacoby Brissett hasn’t had a bad camp. The No. 2 quarterback for Cleveland has been working out the kinks in a new system and has had his share of good moments.

Unfortunately, he struggled at an inopportune time. Not long after the NFL announced they were going to appeal the six-game suspension for Deshaun Watson — with a year ban still on the table — Brissett had a rough practice.

The offense as a whole was really out of sync which could have been due to some of the off-field distraction. For Brissett, it got to the point where he ripped off his helmet, then kicked a ball in frustration. Afterward, he sat by himself for a while composing his thoughts.

For anyone who wants to read too much into this, they probably shouldn’t. Brissett is a seasoned veteran and while Wednesday wasn’t his best outing, he’s going to be just fine.

Still, that won’t stop the calls for Cleveland to go after Jimmy Garoppolo.

Fans have already started discussing whether or not this is the move the Browns should make, but unless the 49ers send him away for a late pick and eat $20 million of his salary, that’s unlikely to happen.

Brissett is the guy while Watson is out and one bad practice isn’t enough to change that.
