3 Cleveland Browns who have gone missing during camp

Cleveland Browns players missing at camp No. 2 – David Njoku
After initially being franchised tag and then signing a massive four-year, $54.75 million extension, David Njoku has been fairly quiet at camp. We have seen a lot of videos of the young wide receivers getting work with Watson and Brissett, but maybe no news is good news on this one?
Njoku is an interesting one, just two seasons ago he was third on the depth chart to start the season. And now in 2022, he is one of the highest-paid tight ends in the league. His freak athleticism is much to be desired, but he has had some injury concerns over the last five years.
He managed to play in 16 games in three of his first five seasons, but missed 15 games throughout 2019 and 2020, and played banged up a lot of the time in 2021. One of the biggest concerns with Njoku was his ability to run block in the Kevin Stefanski offense. He’s certainly a receiving option first, but his inline blocking is substantially improved.
One thing the Browns can’t afford is a massive deal that doesn’t perform. Not only is Njoku getting big dollars, but he also has two void years in his deal that leave Cleveland financially obligated to him through 2027.
Again, no news may be good news on Njoku, but it is strange that we haven’t seen much about him standing out at camp after singing his new massive deal.
