Player No. 2: Amari Cooper, Wide Receiver

Ever since Amari Cooper was traded to the Browns back in March, many of us have looked forward to the first time the former Dallas Cowboys wideout took to the field in a Cleveland uniform.

Well, we’ll get a chance to hopefully see him play a few snaps in this game Friday night. Cleveland has come out this week and said most of their starters would be playing in this initial preseason game, which is always a fun thing for fans to see after the long offseason.

Cooper has had a great pro career and is the Browns first legitimate No. 1 wide receiver in many years. We’ve all watched the highlights from the past and know he’s had some huge games in the league. He regularly goes over the 1,000-yard mark in receiving yards each season.

As talented as he is, Cooper has a lot of pressure on him this season with Cleveland excpecting him to produce immediately. He joins a roster that has struggled to produce on offense, especially at receiver, so they will want him to lead the way. But Cooper’s demeanor and low-key approach to the game is probably one of the reasons that he succeeds so often — and that should help him in his latest endeavor.
