Browns add deep threat at receiver in 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft

Round 4: Dawand Jones, OT, Ohio State
Dawand Jones is a mammoth of a human being.
Listed at 6-foot-8 and 360-pounds, Jones has put together some great games for Ohio State and was called the best right tackle that will be heading into the 2023 draft by Jack Borowsky of Fan Nation. What really stands out with Jones is that he’s not just a bulldozer despite his size. He can move incredibly well and was even offered several scholarships for basketball following a standout high school career.
Cleveland currently has Jack Conklin but with the cap situation looking tight, it’s not a lock they can re-sign him. If not, Jones could be an ideal fit — and even if Conklin returns, he would likely be able to contend with James Hudson for the swing tackle spot. Considering how many injuries they’ve dealt with on the line, it would make sense to continue to build competition there.
Round 4: Mazi Smith, DT, Michigan
Winning on the line of scrimmage is huge for any NFL team and in recent years, the Browns have struggled to do so on defense. That could change with this selection as they bring in 6-foot-3, 326-pound Mazi Smith.
An absolute bull in the run game, Smith is also very athletic and can generate a push up the middle.

Cleveland has a couple of players who can perform at the 3-tech, including Perrion Winfrey who they took out of Oklahoma in the fourth round this past season.
Now, they add someone who can line up next to him and really make a difference in the run game.
