Browns 3 biggest storylines entering final week of preseason
The NFL preseason is set to wrap up this weekend but there are still storylines that need resolutions for the Cleveland Browns.
There is just one more preseason game left on the docket and then we will be full steam ahead for the start of the 2022 Cleveland Browns season. That means that head coach Kevin Stefanski, his coaching staff, general manager Andrew Berry, and his front office staff will have some decisions to make in regards to who makes this roster and who does not.
This roster is stacked even with Deshaun Watson set to serve an 11-game suspension, but there are some things that need to be tidied up over the course of the next week. About 90 percent of the roster is locked in, so Stefanski and Berry will need to use this next week to evaluate the final 10 percent.
Here are the three biggest storylines heading into the final week of the preseason.

No. 3 Will the Browns enter the defensive tackle market?
The biggest hole on this roster is the defensive tackle position. At the beginning of the new league year, it seemed that Berry and Stefanski were going to rely heavily on a young DT room, but now there could be a change of plans.
While the defensive tackle position is not going to make or break a team, it will allow the defense to make opposing offenses honest or one-dimensional. Through the past few weeks, the position still lacks something or someone, so maybe it’s time for Berry to hit the market and sign a veteran who can help stop the run while also getting after the quarterback.
Some available defensive tackles still searching for homes in 2022 are Ndamukong Suh, Star Lotulelei, and former Brown, Sheldon Richardson. Any one of those guys would be a nice addition alongside Jordan Elliott, Taven Bryan, Tommy Togiai, and rookie Perrion Winfrey; who suffered an injury during last week’s preseason game against the Eagles.
What would be good about bringing one of these veterans in is the fact that they wouldn’t want to practice all that much anyway. If it’s Richardson, then he already knows the system. The others will be able to quickly get caught up.
Berry has kept two and four defensive tackles on the 53-man roster over the last two seasons. A guy like Togiai could be moved to the practice squad if one of the vets is called and a deal is reached.
Again, this isn’t a major concern, but one that will need to be addressed over the next week.
