4 Cleveland Browns that would be instantly claimed if cut

No. 1 – Demetric Felton, Running Back/Returner/Wide Receiver
If you hate me for saying Schwartz is gone, you’ll hate me even more for saying the Cleveland Browns will likely move on from Demetric Felton. This move has nothing to do with his lack of talent or not being an NFL-ready player, he just doesn’t fit in on this roster currently.
Don’t be surprised if he is traded before the 53-man rosters are set. I’m not sure there is a huge market for his services, but I think the Browns could certainly get a little bit for the 2021 sixth-round pick.
Felton is fighting for a running back position in a team that is loaded. There are legitimately four guys better than him on the roster at running back, and that isn’t dogging his ability to carry the football. Then some say that he is fighting for a slot receiver position.
If the Browns had a great one, two, and three option at receiver, I would be all for keeping Felton to play the slot. He’s very elusive and has elite speed in the open field. But with already such a lack of depth at the position, how can you justify keeping a guy who isn’t really a receiver?
Felton will get his shot somewhere. He would be a great third-down back if Kareem Hunt wasn’t already on this roster. Again, don’t be shocked to see him traded before the start of the season.
