1. Nelson Agholor, Wide Receiver

The Chip Kelly experiment was not good for the Philadelphia Eagles. He was there when they paid too much for DeMarco Murray, released LeSean McCoy, and traded Nick Foles for Sam Bradford.

With those moves, he gave himself a quarterback with two bad knees and asked him to run the option. He also sent away one of the shiftiest runners in the game and replaced him with a downhill bruiser, only to ask said bruiser to run east to west more often looking for the home run. You know, the way McCoy could.

Since those decisions were so ridiculous, it often gets overlooked that he completely reached for Nelson Agholor in the 2015 NFL Draft. Agholor was the first selection made in the Kelly era and it wasn’t long until he was labeled a bust.

In all honesty, this wasn’t truly fair to him. Agholor twice topped the 700-yard mark for the Eagles and had 2,515 yards with 18 touchdowns on 224 receptions in five years. Those numbers aren’t terrible but the problem went back to him being selected way too high.

He did have a breakout season in 2020 with the Raiders, hauling in 48 passes for 896 yards and eight touchdowns but couldn’t replicate those numbers with the Patriots last year. For that reason, he’s been rumored to be on the block and Cleveland should be interested.

The seven-year veteran will never be a No. 1 guy but as a deep threat that can rotate in and play alongside Amari Cooper, he could be a deep threat that makes defenses respect the long ball.
