The 2022 Cleveland Browns season is set to kick off in just a matter of days let’s look at 5 players to keep your eye on this Sunday.
The long offseason is finally ending as the Cleveland Browns are set to kick off their season Sunday in Carolina. This game will not be short of storylines with the Browns set to face their former quarterback and number one overall pick in Baker Mayfield.
If the Browns are to win on Sunday they will need good games from these five players.

No. 5: Jordan Elliott, defensive tackle
There has been a lot of talk, for a good reason, about the lack of proven talent at the defensive tackle position in Cleveland. The preseason didn’t do much to make Browns fans feel better about the depth and skill level in the room as several players struggled at times. Incumbent and presumed starter Jordan Elliott was able to show a few flashes in limited snaps.
Browns coaches have been very vocal about the offseason that Elliott had, including the transformation he made to his body. He looks bigger and stronger and still shows a good level of athleticism in pass-rushing situations. Elliott has been a disappointment so far in his career but if he is able to build off of some of his play in the preseason then Cleveland will worry less about the defensive tackle.
The edge rushers in Cleveland are proven and talented but if the Browns want to beat Carolina and slow down the run they will need Elliott to step up.
