No. 4: David Njoku, tight end

The Browns showed their dedication and belief in tight end David Njoku when they gave him a large extension this offseason. Earlier this week head coach Kevin Stefanski talked about the plan to give Njoku an expanded role in the offense this season. The Panthers have a ton of talent at cornerback and safety so the Browns’ pass catchers need to step up Sunday.

With Amari Cooper being the only proven player in the wide receiver room they will likely lean on Njoku to help supplement the passing game. In his only preseason game, Jacoby Brissett looked Njoku’s way often. If the Browns want to win and are effective in the passing game Njoku having a big game would go a long way.

No. 3: Jacoby Brissett, quarterback

There has been plenty said about the former starting quarterback on the other sideline but the Browns will turn to Jacoby Brissett to win on Sunday. Brissett doesn’t have to light things up on Sunday but he must be efficient and not turn the ball over.

The Browns will likely lean heavily on their offensive line and running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. But if Brissett isn’t efficient and safe with the football the Browns will not win in Carolina.
