Even though the Cleveland Browns got the victory in week 1, these three players must be better in week two if they want to start 2-0.

The Cleveland Browns enter week two exactly where they want to be. They took care of business moving to 1-0, and the Steelers upset the Bengals which should only help the AFC North beat each other up before the return of Deshaun Watson.

The Baltimore Ravens had a decisive win over the New York Jets, but that comes as no surprise. The Browns now head into week two with another winnable game vs. the Jets with the rest of the AFC North having difficult matchups (Patriots at Steelers, Dolphins at Ravens, and Bengals at Cowboys). The injury to Dak Prescott makes things easier for the Bengals, but still, a tough place to go and win a game.

It’s unclear if Zach Wilson will return for Week 2 as the starter for the Jets, or if we will see the familiar Joe Flacco who was the long-time starter for the Ravens. Either way, this is a winnable game, but one the Browns can’t take lightly. After winning their first opening game since 2004, it’s now time to win their home-opener and keep the fans excited.

The Jets are a very beatable team, but these three players must be better for the Browns on Sunday.

No. 3 – Jedrick Wills

With pick No. 10 in the 2020 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns took Jedrick Wills from Alabama. Wills was a right tackle for his collegiate career but made the transition to left tackle in the NFL. He has shown flashes of greatness in the run game but continues to struggle against the speed rushers and quickness.

As much as I love his run blocking and pulling ability, his giving up constant pressure on the blind side is starting to be a major concern. I’m giving him a fresh start after a poor 2021 performance that was hindered by an ankle injury that never did heal properly.

Let’s hope it was just working through the kinks on Sunday, but Wills is going to have to be better if the Browns offense is going to be successful without Deshaun Watson.
