1. Denzel Mims, New York Jets

Another player who was rumored to be on the block all offseason is Denzel Mims, a former second-round pick from Baylor. The 6-foot-3, 207-pound Mims came into the NFL with some lofty expectations and joined a New York Jets team that was desperate for help at receiver.

However, he managed just 31 receptions for 490 yards and has yet to score his first NFL touchdown. He did show off his talent during the preseason as he was basically auditioning for a job elsewhere. Against the Giants, he hauled in six passes for 91 yards and took one too the house.

Mims did end up making the 53-man roster in New York and no trades ever seemed to come close. Even so, he has yet to make an appearance and is buried on the depth chart behind Corey Davis, Garrett Wilson, and Elijah Moore.

In Cleveland, he would surely be ahead of Schwartz and could push Bell for snaps as well. His ability to go deep would be a welcome addition, as he does average rough 16-yards per catch so far in his young career.

On top of that, Mims likely wouldn’t cost too much to acquire. New York could be looking to stockpile picks in the mid rounds and the talent Mims brings to the table would surely be worth that.
