The Cleveland Browns travel to Atlanta in hopes of moving to 3-1 on the season here are 3 key matchups that will decide the outcome Sunday.

The Cleveland Browns are dealing with some injuries on defense for a team that hasn’t played up to their talent level on that side of the ball.

There will be young players along the defensive line that the team will have to lean on. Let’s look at 3 key one-on-one matchups for the Browns in Atlanta.

3. Alex Wright vs Jake Matthews/Kaleb McGary

The Browns have already ruled out defensive end Myles Garrett after his one-vehicle car crash earlier in the week with Jadeveon Clowney listed as questionable.

Either way, if Clowney plays or not the team will need to lean on third-round pick Alex Wright. He will either matchup all day against the left tackle or the right and it will be a major key matchup.

Wright hasn’t had a major impact on the first three games after showing a few flashes in the preseason but will need to step up Sunday. He has all of the raw natural talents with great size and athleticism if he can figure out how to utilize them properly.

One thing Wright has shown is the ability to set the edge in the run game and against Marcus Mariota and Cordell Patterson which will be a major need for the defense. If Wright isn’t able to play at least an average level on Sunday the defense may be in for a long game.
