The first quarter of the NFL season is in the books and the Cleveland Browns have plenty of missed opportunities in their first four games. Though they are not in an awful situation at 2-2, a handful of plays could’ve just as quickly made them 4-0 or even 0-4. Let’s look at 3 plays the Browns wish they could have a do-over on.

No. 3: Corey Davis 66 yard touchdown with 1:22 left vs Jets

When Nick Chubb scored a 12-yard touchdown run to make the score 30-17 with 1:55 left everyone thought the Browns had won the game. But the communication issues with the defense let up a 66-yard touchdown when no one was even close to Corey Davis.

When you are up two scores and the opposing team has no timeouts there is just one goal don’t get burned deep. Cleveland did just that got burned deep and set themselves up for the biggest meltdown in decades.

No. 2: Mann kicks an onside kick and it is recovered by the Jets

The 66-yard touchdown was one thing, especially in a two-score game, but the team followed it with a poor effort by the hands’ team and the Jets recovering the ball. It was really executed well by the Jets so they do deserve some credit but the Browns weren’t aggressive and appeared to just expect it to be recovered.

You can’t just sit back and expect a play to be made or a penalty for it not going 10 yards and in turn, the meltdown continued.

No. 1: Jacoby Brissett throws an interception to end the Browns game against the Falcons

Cleveland was driving trying to tie the game or take the lead late in the game with Jacoby Brissett trying to force a pass to David Bell that resulted in an interception. It was 3rd-and-23 but D’Ernest Johnson was wild open 10 yards in front of Brissett with no one around him.

Likely that play gets enough to either attempt a game-tying field goal, convert for a first down, or set up a short-yardage fourth down opportunity.
