3 additional trade targets the Cleveland Browns should consider before deadline

No. 2 – Clelin Ferrell, Edge
The former No. 4 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft not only fits Berry’s model of taking a chance on former round-one picks, but the Las Vegas Raiders may also be willing to get rid of him for next to nothing on the final year of his deal.
With another late-round pick, the Browns could bring in Clelin Ferrell just to see if a change of scenery is all it takes for the former college standout to return to form. It has been a steady decline for Ferrell who had four and a half sacks as a rookie but has only racked up three tackles in the fourth and final year of his rookie deal.
It’s a low-risk, high-reward move for Berry. If Ferrell continues his struggle, you just move on and gave up very little. Keep in mind, the depth at defensive end for Cleveland has been so poor you could just use the body right now to plug a hole. Alex Wright has shown some potential, but the pass rush is non-existent after Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney.
Between trying to keep some bodies fresh and knowing that Clowney has already missed two games because of an injury, solid depth at this position is crucial. I like the idea of adding a guy like Ferrell with the understanding it would likely only be a fix for the 2022 season.
