4. York rebounds with four field goals

No player has seemingly fallen from grace as quickly as Cade York has. The fourth-round pick from LSU had an unbelievable debut for the Browns, drilling a 58-yard kick to upset the Panthers. It was a tough ask for him to kick it from that distance, but he came out and handled it like a pro.

Since then, it’s been a bumpy ride for No. 3. He missed an extra point in Week 2 against the New York Jets, which opened the door for a shocking comeback. Against the Steelers in Week 3, he again had a whiff on an extra point but the 12-point win made that one a moot point.

Fast forward to Week 5, and he had the worst outing of his young career. York — to his credit — was 4-of-4 on extra points, but missed his first two field goal attempts of his career. And he couldn’t have picked a worse time to develop a case of the yips.

Cleveland lost this one 30-28 but could have won had York been on his game. He had two misses with his first coming just before the half from 46-yards out. While that was frustrating for the rookie, he had a shot at redemption in the end.

Set up for a 54-yard kick, York was wide-right and the Browns fell to 2-3. Suddenly, fans were burning his jersey (which is so pointless) and ready to turn on him. The same people that loved his warm-up kicks from across the map were ready to wash their hands of the 21-year-old.

Having said all of that, York is 8-of-10 and a miss from 54-yards is bound to happen. The problem was the timing of it, but this week, he will get redemption. This second bold prediction is that York makes every attempt and while he might not get a shot at another game-winner, he will get the mojo back and make some people regret burning that jersey they paid so much for.
