Deshaun Watson is currently serving an 11-game suspension but won’t see that extended despite a new allegation coming to light on Thursday night

Late Thursday night, reports surfaced from Camryn Justice of News 5 Cleveland that Deshaun Watson was facing yet another lawsuit for sexual misconduct. This is the 25th allegation against Watson who settled 23 of the original 24.

With two suits now pending, it’s fair to ask if the league will look at Watson again as he’s still serving an 11-game suspension. Apparently, the answer to that is the league won’t be handing out any new, or extended punishment.

In addition to the news of his latest lawsuit, Justice added that Watson isn’t subject to more discipline for similar conduct as part of the settlement with the league.

Watson and the league settled on an 11-game suspension with a $5 million fine after he was originally suspended for six games by an independent arbitrator. Judge Sue L. Robinson was adamant that Watson’s actions were egregious, but was critical of the NFL for the way they were trying to issue punishments.

The NFLPA also stepped in, saying they would sue the league if Watson was banned for more than six games. In the end, a settlement was best for both sides as they wanted to avoid any more legal proceedings.

As part of his settlement, Watson was allowed to return to the facilities on Monday to attend meetings and work out with his team. He can resume practicing on Nov. 4 and will return to the field in Week 13 against the Houston Texans.

And while his latest lawsuit is another reminder of what the Browns were willing to overlook when adding Watson, he should still be on the field following just six more games missed.
