After throwing two interceptions and fumbling the ball once in the Cleveland Browns Week 6 loss to the New England Patriots, Jacoby Brissett took a few steps in the wrong direction after initially starting the season with a bit of promise as the team waits for Deshaun Watson to return from his 11-game  suspension.

Up until this last defeat, Brissett had only made a handful of mistakes that resulted in turnovers as he was doing everything asked of him. He wasn’t the reason they had success, but he was also not holding them back.

The good news in this upcoming battle against the Ravens is that they have an awful defensive secondary. They’ve given up a whopping 1,606 yards through the air which is the fourth worst in the league. They’ve also given up a league-leading 87 first downs on pass plays.

Thus, the Cleveland offense, especially the passing game should have a productive afternoon as long as Brissett doesn’t try and do too much. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski did a poor job of giving Brissett too many plays as he was asked to throw it 45 times, which isn’t ideal with a backup. The team can still do much damage through the air this week with fewer pass attempts and Brissett gaining his confidence back.
