The Cleveland Browns know a win in Week 7 would be huge for their chances in the AFC North and there are reasons to believe they can pull off the upset

So far in 2022, the Cleveland Browns are just 2-4 and are in the midst of a three-game losing streak. During those three contests, their defense has been a major issue for them, and that has Lamar Jackson stoked to play them in Week 7.

It’s hard to blame him for being excited that his Baltimore Ravens are hosting the Browns, but it also might not be a surefire win for the home team. Here, we dive into three reasons to believe Cleveland can steal a win on the road and get back into the AFC North race.

3. Ravens have struggled against the pass

It’s not exactly strength against weakness but the Browns have proven that they’re capable in the passing game when they get into a rhythm. Jacoby Brissett unfortunately never got into a rhythm against New England, but he’s shown some promise in other games this season.

Now heading into Week 7, he’s about to face a team that suddenly can’t cover wide receivers. In the first six weeks, the Ravens are 28th in the league in passing yards. So far, they’ve surrendered 1,606 yards and 11 touchdowns. That’s an average of 268 yards and nearly two touchdowns per game.

A stat line such as that for Brissett would be huge for the Browns. It would also surely mean they got Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and David Njoku all involved in the game. If so, that would bode well for them as they look to stop their current losing streak.
