No. 2: Mark Andrews, TE

Baltimore Ravens tight end, Mark Andrews has killed the Browns almost every time that he has faced them. In eight career games against Cleveland, Andrews has caught 40 passes for 510 yards and seven touchdowns. However, in all fairness, Andrews is just that good of a tight end and those are just slight upticks from his usual production.

Andrews has been on a tear so far in 2022. Through six games, he has 39 receptions for 455 yards and five touchdowns. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound tight end has been absolutely owning linebackers and safeties at the catch point this season.

What doesn’t get talked about often enough, is Andrews’ almost supernatural-like connection with Lamar Jackson. Preparation for facing the duo is near impossible, due to the fact that Andrews has complete autonomy to change his route from the play call based on what look he gets from the defense. Whenever Jackson finds himself in a tight spot, or a “need to have it” play, more often than not he looks in Andrews’ direction.

Only time will tell what looks the Browns’ defense will give Andrews. But more than likely Andrews and Jackson will like their odds. Could this be the main reason that the Browns could not pass up selecting Martin Emerson? Tune in Sunday to find out.
