As the trade deadline approaches, the Browns have to make a crucial decision of whether to become buyers or sellers. There are rumors about the Cleveland Browns fielding offers for both Kareem Hunt and Greedy Williams. On the other hand, the Browns could decide to address some crucial team needs, such as their defensive line, secondary, or wide receiver group.

One of the weakest groups on the team is the wide receiver room, as there is very little depth behind Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones. David Bell and Anthony Schwartz haven’t proven that they are ready to step into an impactful role this season, as neither receiver has eclipsed 100 receiving yards on the season.

Here are three wide receivers that the Browns could look to target prior to the November 1st trade deadline.

3. Denzel Mims, New York Jets

It seems like trade talks surrounding Denzel Mims have been going on for over a year now, as the young, athletic receiver has been unable to find an opportunity to succeed with the New York Jets.

After facing injury trouble in his first two seasons, he’s now buried on the depth chart behind Corey Davis, Garrett Wilson, and Elijah Moore. The New York Jets’ asking price for Denzel Mims was a 4th round pick earlier in the season which no team was willing to give up. Mims’ trade value has only decreased since then, and it’s very possible that he gets moved this week for a 6th round pick or worse.

The Browns should pounce on that opportunity, as the Browns have arguably the worst wide receiver depth in the NFL. Mims would be a cheap option to shore up the back end of the wide receiver room. However, if the Browns are looking to acquire a more impactful wide receiver, they would likely look to the next two wide receivers on this list.
