3 free agents in 2023 Browns need to prioritize this offseason

The Cleveland Browns front office needs to spend the final nine weeks of the 2022 season discussing what an extension would look like for these 3 players
With Deshaun Watson, Myles Garrett, Nick Chubb, and Amari Cooper under contract the Cleveland Browns have the majority of their building blocks secured for the 2023 season. However, no team can make a run based on their top players alone.
Role players are constantly needed and the Browns have several of those set for free agency when this season ends. With that being the case, let’s look at the top three pending free agents that need to be prioritized by general manager Andrew Berry.

3. Ethan Pocic, Browns
During the offseason, Cleveland signed former Seattle Seahawks center Ethan Pocic — who like many players on this roster was a standout at LSU during his collegiate days — to a one-year deal. Pocic’s addition made almost no noise at all and it seemed to be a mere depth move behind Nick Harris.
However, he was thrust into a starting role when Harris was hurt on the opening drive of the preseason and has more than answered the call. Pocic is the second-highest-rated center in the NFL according to Pro Football Focus and with Joel Bitonio as the No. 1 and Wyatt Teller as the No. 3 guard, the interior of this line has been insanely good.
With that being the case, Pocic is someone that needs to be retained as he enters free agency in 2023. The worry will be whether or not he’s outplayed what they’re willing to pay but he’s been a key part of this offense and losing him would sting.
