Cleveland Browns: 5 bold predictions against Miami in Week 10
By Greg Newland
No. 1 – Browns get a much-needed win
Before last week, I was struggling to stay positive about the Cleveland Browns. The offense was too inconsistent, and I had no faith that Joe Woods was going to get this defense together. But this team has vastly improved over the last two weeks (even the loss to Baltimore).
Brissett has continued to get more accurate and take more chances on the offense. Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones have both stepped up and become a legitimate receiving duo, and Chubb continues to look like the best running back in the league.
The secondary has continued to have issues, but Martin Emerson and Greg Newsome continue to be bright spots. Sione Takitaki and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah have stepped up with injuries at linebacker. And Jadeveon Clowney and Garrett are as strong a tandem of pass rushers as the league can offer right now.
Unfortunately, this team does have a backup quarterback for another three weeks and is still playing catch-up, but I think the Dolphins could easily overlook the Browns and Stefanski will have this team revved up after the bye week. I know the Dolphins are a good team, but I think the Browns will win this one easily, 28-17, as confidence continues to grow each week.
