The Cleveland Browns will look to continue their winning ways when they take on the Texans in Week 13. Here are three big storylines to watch.

There is a different vibe coming out of Berea, Ohio this week ahead of the Cleveland Browns’ week 13 matchup with the Houston Texans. That’s due to Deshaun Watson being the guy now and the hope of a playoff push is still alive for the brown and orange. More on him later.

The Browns are coming off a hard-fought, come-from-behind victory over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in a game that was must-win if the playoffs were even to be discussed. They got the job done and now there is a whole new outlook on the season over the final six regular season games.

Here are three big storylines to watch when the Browns take on the Texans in Week 13.

No. 3: Can the defense continue to stop the run?

The Browns run defense has been abysmal for most of the 2022 season and last week appeared to be a step in the right direction. Cleveland limited the Bucs to 96 rushing yards, which seems monumental as they got gashed for 366 combined in the previous two weeks.

The Week 13 matchup should be another favorable one for Cleveland’s defense as the Texans are one of the worst teams in the NFL when it comes to rushing the football. They come into the contest averaging 88.5 rushing yards per game, the fourth-worst in the NFL.

Myles Garrett was not calling out teammates or coaches after the game this past week, but as they say, winning solves everything. Garrett was a disruptive force, gaining 1.5 sacks, including bringing down Brady on a 3rd and nine in overtime.

If he and his defensive unit can continue to maintain the run game and get after whoever is starting under center for the Texans, it could spell good results yet again.
