The Cleveland Browns will be looking to upgrade their roster during the 2023 NFL Draft. Here are three Ohio State Buckeyes to consider.

The Cleveland Browns will be looking at all avenues to upgrade its roster for the 2023 season. With a full season of Deshaun Watson at quarterback, the window to compete for Super Bowls is now. This means that GM Andrew Berry and his staff have to do everything possible in order to provide the talent that’s necessary for them to win.

It won’t be easily done through the draft however due to the fact that the Browns lost a lot of draft capital in the Watson trade from the Texans. With no first-round pick, Berry needs to be on point with his mid-round drafting execution. Something that the jury is still out on from his previous drafts at the helm.

It’s natural for Cleveland Browns fans to want Ohio State players on their favorite team’s roster. After all, most Browns fans are busy watching the Buckeyes play on Saturdays. And after seeing the success of the Cincinnati Bengals these past few seasons, who have a ton of former Buckeyes on its roster, it’s only right to consider who the Browns could draft and bring up I-71 from Columbus. Here are three potential players.

3. Luke Wypler, C

Luke Wypler surprised a lot of people in Columbus with his announced departure after three seasons in the program. Ryan Day said himself that losing Wypler was very unexpected. But nonetheless, he would be an ideal mid-round player for the Browns to consider.

Not knowing if Ethan Pocic will return or if Nick Harris is healthy enough or even talented enough to start at center next season, the need for this position could be great. Wypler also should fit the Bill Callahan zone blocking scheme as he’s light on his fit and not an overwhelming big center standing at 6-3 and 300 pounds.

Buckeye centers have also had a ton of NFL success in recent years with Corey Linsley, Pat Elflein, Billy Price, and Josh Myers all being drafted and all but Price having very good careers so far. The former four-star, top-100 national recruit should benefit from the NFL combine where his athleticism will be on full display. Wypler would surely look great wearing the Brown and Orange next season.
