4 Cleveland Browns that have to improve in 2023

If the Cleveland Browns are going to get back to the playoffs in 2023, they’re going to need these four players to improve
7-10 was a far cry from what the Cleveland Browns were expecting this season but they’re not as far away as it seems. Six of their losses were by one score and that means a few plays each week could have made all the difference in the world.
That’s why there should be hope that 2023 can be much better. They’re sure to add a few pieces to help and some improvement from these key contributors could be what it takes to get them back into the playoff race.

4. Jedrick Wills, Left Tackle
In 2020, Andrew Berry made his first selection in the NFL Draft and decided to try and shore up the offensive line. He brought in Jedrick Wills from Alabama with the 10th overall selection and had him move from right tackle to left.
Wills played well for the most part as a rookie but the growing pains were expected as he made the leap to the NFL as well as the adjustment to a new position. However, he hasn’t really taken that next step and seemed to regress in year three.
Overall, he wasn’t terrible but there was room for improvement. Moving forward, the Browns will need to see that happen. In order to get the most out of Deshaun Watson, they’re going to need their blindside protector to give him the time he needs in the pocket.
Wills should also have a personal reason for taking a step forward as he nears the end of his rookie contract.
