For too long, the Cleveland Browns have been a punchline. They haven't been taken seriously enough in the AFC North, and while it's easy to understand why, this team might be just a move away from turning the tables in the division.
While the Browns have built a promising roster full of young stars, other teams in the division are trending in the opposite direction. That's especially true of the Pittsburgh Steelers, a team that continues to cling to past glory as if it were still relevant as a contender today.
That's why it only made sense that the Steelers hired a human version of themselves as their next head coach.
Mike McCarthy continues to land jobs off Aaron Rodgers' greatness, so it wasn't much of a surprise to see him land at No. 6 in FanSided's most overrated head coach rankings.
"The case is rather simple: he is coasting on a Super Bowl that is older than my freshman-aged brother-in-law and has parlayed that into two different jobs with two of the biggest franchises in the sport," FanSided's Jason Reed wrote. "Just like with Mike Tomlin, the Steelers will probably be in the hunt in December and may even make the playoffs. Just don't expect anything more than that."

That about sums it up. McCarthy was blessed with having arguably the greatest pure passer in football history in his prime for most of his career. Yet, he only managed to get one Super Bowl out of Aaron Rodgers.
Of course, plenty of that is also on the veteran quarterback, who seemed to forget how to play whenever he had to face the San Francisco 49ers in the playoffs. That said, McCarthy's game management and decision-making left him exposed multiple times in his previous stops.
Now, McCarthy will try to work his so-called magic as an offensive guru for a team with a shaky offensive line, questions at running back, and an aging quarterback who's been a shell of himself since he left Wisconsin.
The Browns' stacked defense should have a field day against this team. Even without Myles Garrett, the pass-rush shouldn't find much trouble getting to Rodgers, who should be in for a long day every time he has to square off against Mike Rutenberg's unit.
The Steelers added another big-bodied wide receiver in Michael Pittman Jr. to pair with DK Metcalf — who recently made FanSided's list of overrated players. But with a quarterback who can no longer throw the deep ball, how much of a threat will they actually be?
Cleveland's bitter division rivals are long overdue for a major overhaul, yet they seem content to play .500 football and not be real contenders. That's probably why McCarthy was such a match made in heaven with his hometown team, the same franchise that, ironically, couldn't beat him in his lone Super Bowl win.
